Bow Buddy® Vehicle Safety Notice
WARNING — PLEASE READ BEFORE USE
Bow Buddy® is an aftermarket vehicle accessory designed to help organize and temporarily support bows and other compatible gear inside a vehicle. As with any object installed or carried within a vehicle, improper installation, placement, or use may create a risk of property damage, serious bodily injury, or death, particularly during sudden stops, sharp turns, collisions, or other vehicle impacts.
Remove When Not in Use
Bow Buddy strongly recommends removing the Bow Buddy from the vehicle's headrest post when it is not actively being used.
Leaving any rigid accessory installed within the passenger compartment may create an impact or contact hazard to vehicle occupants during normal entry and exit, sudden vehicle movement, or a collision.
Never position or use a Bow Buddy where it may contact, obstruct, or interfere with a driver or passenger.
Use While the Vehicle Is Moving
Always consider the location of passengers and other objects inside the vehicle before using Bow Buddy.
Do not install, position, or load the Bow Buddy in a manner that:
-
Creates an unreasonable risk of contact with a passenger;
-
Obstructs the driver's visibility or ability to safely operate the vehicle;
-
Interferes with seat belts, child restraints, headrests, seats, airbags, or other vehicle safety systems;
-
Prevents a vehicle seat or headrest from operating as designed;
-
Places a bow, firearm, tool, or other object where it could strike an occupant during sudden braking or a collision; or
-
Exceeds the intended use or reasonable load capacity of the product.
Whenever practical, remove bows, equipment, and other items from the Bow Buddy before driving.
Bow Buddy is an equipment organizer and hanger. It is not a crash-rated cargo restraint system and is not represented or intended to secure equipment during a motor vehicle collision.
Installation
Before each use:
-
Confirm that the Bow Buddy is fully and securely installed.
-
Confirm that the vehicle headrest is properly reinstalled and locked into its intended position.
-
Inspect the Bow Buddy for cracks, deformation, damage, excessive wear, or any condition that could affect safe use.
-
Confirm that the product and anything hanging from it will not contact a passenger or interfere with vehicle operation or safety equipment.
Do not use a damaged Bow Buddy.
Do not modify, drill, cut, heat, bend, or otherwise alter the product.
Always follow your vehicle manufacturer's instructions regarding headrests, seats, airbags, child restraints, and interior accessories.
Passenger Safety
Use additional caution when passengers are seated near a Bow Buddy.
Do not leave a Bow Buddy installed in a position where a passenger's head, face, neck, or body could reasonably strike the product.
Bow Buddy strongly recommends removing the product when it is not needed, particularly when the adjacent seating position will be occupied.
Keep the product and equipment mounted to it away from children and child-restraint seating positions.
Equipment Responsibility
The user is responsible for determining whether an item can be safely hung from the Bow Buddy and whether the item's size, shape, weight, or location creates an unsafe condition.
Never hang equipment in a manner that could:
-
Swing freely into an occupant;
-
Become detached during vehicle movement;
-
Obstruct vehicle controls or visibility;
-
Damage the vehicle interior; or
-
Create a projectile or impact hazard.
Local laws concerning the transportation of bows, firearms, hunting equipment, or other equipment vary by jurisdiction. Bow Buddy does not represent that using a Bow Buddy satisfies any local, state, or federal transportation or storage requirement. The user is responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations.
Assumption of Responsibility
By installing or using a Bow Buddy, the user accepts responsibility for proper installation, appropriate placement, regular inspection, and safe use of the product and any equipment placed on it.
Bow Buddy LLC is not responsible for injuries or property damage resulting from misuse, improper installation, unauthorized modification, failure to follow warnings or instructions, or use of the product in a manner inconsistent with its intended purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in this notice is intended to exclude or limit any warranty, statutory right, or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Important Reminder
REMOVE BOW BUDDY WHEN NOT IN USE.
Always prioritize occupant safety. If the location of the Bow Buddy or equipment placed on it could create an impact hazard for a driver or passenger, do not use the product in that location.
