INSTALLATION & FITMENT

Install in seconds. No tools. No headrest removal.

Bow Buddy® is designed to install quickly on most vehicle headrest posts using our simple twist-on design. Before installation, make sure you have the correct size for your vehicle.

STANDARD OR XL?

Measure from the back of the headrest post straight back to the rear edge of the seat.

• 3.5" or less: Standard Bow Buddy
• 3.5" or thicker: Bow Buddy XL
  

Some vehicles with thicker seat backs, including certain Toyota Tundra models, may require the XL version.

HOW TO INSTALL

1. Position It
Place the Bow Buddy opening against the headrest post.

2. Slide & Twist
Push the Bow Buddy onto the post while twisting it around the post. No tools or headrest removal are required.

3. Rotate Into Position
Once installed, rotate the hanger into the position that works best for your bow or gear.

THICKER HEADREST POSTS

If the Bow Buddy does not slide straight onto the post easily, try installing it from the side of the post instead.

Position the opening against the side of the post, begin twisting, and allow the Bow Buddy to work around the post as it rotates into place.

Do not force the unit straight onto the post if it is not fitting properly.

USING THE SPACER

Use the included spacer when needed for smaller headrest posts.

The spacer helps:

• Reduce excess movement
• Improve fit
• Protect the vehicle interior
• Keep the Bow Buddy securely positioned

If the Bow Buddy fits securely without the spacer, it may not be necessary.

CHECK YOUR CLEARANCE

After installation, make sure the hanger clears the rear edge of the seat and gives your gear enough room to hang freely.

If the seat interferes with the hanger, you may need the XL version.

FITMENT VARIES BY VEHICLE

Vehicle headrests and seats can vary in:

• Post diameter
• Seat-back thickness
• Headrest shape
• Post spacing
• Fixed or adjustable headrests
• Curved or unusual headrest posts

Because of these differences, installation may vary slightly by vehicle.

QUICK TROUBLESHOOTING

Won’t slide on?
Try installing from the side of the post.

Feels loose?
Use the included spacer if applicable.

Doesn’t clear the seat?
Measure the seat thickness. If it is about 3.5" or thicker, you likely need the XL.
